Safety Manager, Onsite & Compliance at Actalent
Overview
Own safety programs at multiple facilities ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting workers. Lead policy development, audits, and training to reduce incidents at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and implement safety policies to meet legal and industry standards across facilities
- 2Design and conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement mitigations
- 3Analyze incidents to determine root causes and drive corrective actions
- 4Deliver safety training and awareness programs to ensure adherence to protocols
- 5Collaborate with leaders to improve safety practices and address concerns
- 6Ensure proper safety equipment and PPE usage across sites
- 7Maintain safety records including training, inspections, and incident reports
- 8Prepare safety reports with recommendations and present to senior management
- 9Coordinate and lead emergency drills such as fire evacuations and first aid training
- 10Lead risk assessments and propose controls to reduce hazards in work processes
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
- 2Certification in Safety Management (e.g., OSHA) is highly desirable
- 3Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws
- 4Experience in a safety management role in construction or manufacturing
- 5Excellent communication skills with ability to train and influence others
- 6Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to implement improvements
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
- 8Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies
- 9On-site, fully calendar-based role in Kansas City KS with potential long hours
- 10Physical ability to handle demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
