Own the end-to-end vehicle platform for heavy machinery, from networking and sensors to embedded software and drive-by-wire. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready autonomy platforms used in construction, mining, and agriculture. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams, while engaging directly with customers to define platform requirements and deployments. This role blends 0→1 development with production systems and requires hands-on leadership in a customer-facing context.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead the vehicle platform end-to-end, including networking time synchronization sensor drivers middleware integration embedded software drive-by-wire and low-level controls actuation
  • 2Architect and deliver full-system platform capabilities from prototypes to reliable production systems deployed on heavy machinery
  • 3Integrate cross-functional work into cohesive product-ready platforms adapted to customer machines and use cases
  • 4Interact directly with customers to identify target use cases define requirements and drive integrations to successful field deployments
  • 5Lead and coordinate a team of engineers set technical direction prioritize workstreams and manage cross-functional dependencies
  • 6Design and bring up test rigs and validation infrastructure for end-to-end system testing hardware-in-the-loop verification and on-vehicle validation
  • 7Debug test and troubleshoot complex interactions across the full stack ensuring reliability and performance in harsh environments
  • 8Coordinate with electrical middleware firmware and hardware teams to align on technical direction and delivery
  • 9Oversee validation and testing across sensor timing network behavior actuation and controls to ensure production readiness
  • 10Drive release processes and CI/CD practices for embedded targets and safety considerations

Requirements9

  • 15+ years of experience in robotics systems integration platform software development with demonstrated leadership
  • 2Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Robotics Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3Deep hands-on experience across sensors drivers networking time synchronization middleware ROS 2 DDS or proprietary frameworks and embedded systems
  • 4Strong C/C++ development on Linux including debugging and testing real-time systems
  • 5Experience with vehicle actuation and low-level controls such as drive-by-wire systems and controller integration
  • 6Strong understanding of electronic systems how to instrument debug and validate them
  • 7Ability to coordinate and prioritize across multiple engineers and cross-functional teams to meet customer commitments
  • 8Nice to have experience with heavy machinery off-road vehicles agriculture mining or construction equipment
  • 9Experience with automotive industrial communication technologies CAN J1939 LIN Ethernet TSN PTP/gPTP AUTOSAR
