Overview
Join Banner Health as a Registered Nurse for a progressive care role at our 36‑bed PCU in Phoenix. You will provide continuous telemetry monitoring for patients with respiratory, renal, cardiac, substance withdrawal, and infectious conditions. This is a day shift position requiring 3 twelve‑hour rotations weekly with weekend and holiday coverage. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus an 18% night differential and a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.
What You'll Do7
- 1Assess patient physical psychological social spiritual educational developmental cultural and discharge planning needs and document findings promptly
- 2Review patient histories lab results and interdisciplinary inputs to formulate and update individualized care plans with realistic measurable goals
- 3Implement care plans through direct patient interaction delegation and supervision of nursing staff ensuring compliance with policies and evidence‑based practices
- 4Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly while maintaining accurate documentation
- 5Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to promote continuity of care and support patient outcomes
- 6Participate in unit leadership initiatives and mentor colleagues to foster professional growth
- 7Engage in quality improvement projects and share insights to enhance nursing standards across the facility
Requirements5
- 1Current RN license in Arizona or compact license with active BLS certification
- 2Minimum 12 months of acute care nursing experience in an acute setting within the last year
- 3Bachelor’s degree preferred additional relevant certifications such as CPCS or ACLS
- 4Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance for roles involving behavioral health or home care assignments
- 5Demonstrated ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts including weekends and holidays
