RN Observation Night Shift, Acute Care in Phoenix
Overview
The RN will provide bedside care in the Observation Unit for adult patients during FT Nights in Phoenix with on-site responsibilities. Lead patient assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care plans alongside a multidisciplinary team. You will mentor staff and contribute to continuous improvement in patient outcomes. This role offers a sign-on bonus up to $10K and opportunities to advance clinical knowledge.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and administer medications and therapies per standing orders and protocols
- 2Develop and revise patient care plans based on assessments and family input
- 3Delegate tasks to LPNs and nursing aides while ensuring safe, high quality care
- 4Observe and document patient progress, adjust plans to improve outcomes
- 5Collaborate with physicians and care team to optimize patient experience
- 6Precept new hires and students to support clinical education
- 7Evaluate nursing practice and contribute to unit performance improvements
- 8Provide family-centered education on care needs, home care, and self administration of therapy
- 9Assist with IV start/maintenance and emergency measures as required
- 10Engage in professional development and evidence-based practice to enhance care quality
Requirements9
- 1Active RN license in Arizona
- 2Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN with plan to complete BSN within 60 months
- 3BLS certification required
- 45+ years RN experience; prior med-surg or acute specialty is preferred
- 5Experience in stroke care is a plus
- 6Ability to work nights and rotate shifts
- 7Strong documentation and critical thinking skills
- 8Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- 9Commitment to continuing education and professional development
