Overview
The Registered Nurse leads therapeutic care for patients in a compassionate supportive environment. This role coordinates patient care and education while adhering to standards and policies. You will apply scientific knowledge through the Nursing Process to achieve outcomes within the first 90 days. What You'll Do26
- 1Follows policies and procedures and accesses online manuals
- 2Assesses patients upon admission and each shift
- 3Completes nursing assessments and daily acuity reports
- 4Develops and updates individualized plans of care
- 5Documents patient outcomes and revises care plans daily
- 6Administers medications and IV therapies according to protocols
- 7Delegates tasks based on scope of practice
- 8Acts as patient advocate and manages restraints using alternatives
- 9Ensures accurate documentation and adherence to policy
- 10Collaborates with case managers and physicians for discharge planning
- 11Manages transfers and ensures belongings are transported
- 12Utilizes equipment safely following manufacturer guidelines
- 13Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and families
- 14Manages time effectively and takes scheduled breaks
- 15Observes regulatory agency requirements and safety protocols
- 16Demonstrates expertise in managing patients with THA TKA spinal surgery abdominal organ transplants and isolation precautions
- 17Manages complex critically ill patients across multiple specialties
- 18Provides patient and family education and orientation
- 19Initiates and participates in treatment planning for psychiatric patients
- 20Applies de-escalation techniques and manages behavioral restraints
- 21Participates in quality measures and core measure documentation
- 22Engages in professional development and hospital activities
- 23Performs dialysis treatments and maintains equipment
- 24Conducts infection control and safety procedures
- 25Manages acute care scenarios including ventilator care and CRRT
- 26Assists with behavioral incidents and patient safety
Requirements16
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of experience in surgical critical care
- 3Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (grandfathered if hired before 12/2019)
- 41+ year acute inpatient hospital RN experience
- 5Excellent communication skills in English
- 6Knowledge of medical procedures including whole blood collection
- 7Commitment to patient care excellence
- 8Ability to work independently
- 9Registered Nurse license (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
- 10Basic Life Support certification
- 11Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- 12Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- 13Experience with dialysis treatment and equipment
- 14Familiarity with behavioral restraint and seclusion protocols
- 15Understanding of isolation precautions and infection control
- 16Proficiency in documentation and policy compliance
