Overview
The Registered Nurse leads therapeutic care for patients in a stepdown setting. This role owns patient assessment education and care coordination. Successful candidates demonstrate proficiency with the Nursing Process and thrive in collaborative environments.
What You'll Do22
- 1Follows policies and procedures while accessing online manuals
- 2Completes Nursing Assessments at admission shift changes and condition updates
- 3Interprets assessment data to formulate Nursing Diagnoses
- 4Develops individualized Plans of Care with documented outcomes
- 5Administers medications and IV therapies according to schedule
- 6Delegates tasks based on scope of practice and competency
- 7Acts as patient advocate and manages restraint use per policy
- 8Ensures accurate documentation of flow sheets and care plans
- 9Performs 12hour chart reviews and transfers
- 10Utilizes equipment like IV pumps and wound VACs safely
- 11Communicates effectively through shift reports and hand-offs
- 12Manages time effectively and takes scheduled breaks
- 13Observes regulatory agency requirements and safety protocols
- 14Manages THA TKA spinal surgery isolation respiratory nutrition care
- 15Maintains isolation precautions for CF patients and transplant recipients
- 16Institutes safety and infection control procedures
- 17Manages critical care patients in ICU telemetry and stepdown units
- 18Initiates and maintains dialysis treatments following protocols
- 19Engages psychiatric patients therapeutically and monitors safety
- 20Demonstrates de-escalation techniques for behavioral restraints
- 21Participates in quality measures and core measure documentation
- 22Completes required qualifications including BSN and RN license
Requirements13
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing medical surgical teams
- 3Bachelor's Degree Nursing (grandfathered if hired before 12/2019)
- 4Excellent communication skills in English
- 5Ability to perform whole blood collection and apheresis procedures
- 6Commitment to patient care excellence
- 7Ability to work independently
- 8Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- 9Basic Life Support certification
- 10Fire Life Safety Training in LA City
- 11Experience with medical surgical and specialty equipment
- 12Knowledge of dialysis treatment protocols
- 13Familiarity with behavioral restraint and seclusion procedures
