RMA Warranty Technician I - Firearms & Optics
Overview
You will own the RMA warranty process for SIG SAUER electro-optics, inspecting, dispositioning, and reporting on customer returns. You will work with Customer Service, Product Line Management, Design Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues and create win/win outcomes. You will also support live fire testing and maintain accurate warranty data in Oracle and Access databases. What You'll Do8
- 1Inspect, disposition, and record data on product returns, managing receiving and shipping.
- 2Resolve technical issues on SIG SAUER electro-optic products, prioritizing customer experience.
- 3Enter warranty and order info into Oracle and Access databases to track repairs and shipping.
- 4Answer internal and external emails regarding warranty claims and replacement parts.
- 5Execute work orders to transition finished goods to usable or sellable part numbers.
- 6Support the Oregon Depot Repair Scrap Process to maintain inventory accuracy.
- 7Assist with live fire testing once compliance requirements are met.
- 8Communicate product trends or defects to Quality, Product Line Management, and Design Engineering teams.
Requirements10
- 12-3+ years in technical/customer service or customer-focused sales environment.
- 2High school diploma or GED; related experience or training accepted.
- 3Solid firearms knowledge or demonstrated aptitude; military experience a plus.
- 4Working knowledge of hunting practices, shooting sports, ballistics, sports optics, and rifle scope applications.
- 5Familiarity with binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, red-dot sights, and rangefinders.
- 6In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.
- 7Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
- 8Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- 9Ability to work independently or as part of a team with little supervision.
- 10Must stand 90% of shift, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
