Right of Way Project Manager, FDOT Compliance
Overview
You'll manage land acquisition for FDOT district-wide projects, ensuring compliance with 49 CFR Part 24 and the Uniform Relocation Act. Coordinate with property owners, legal teams, and agency staff to deliver clear title and smooth relocations. This role centers on negotiation, due diligence, and customer service, with direct accountability to FDOT management. What You'll Do8
- 1Negotiate acquisitions and close deals for FDOT projects, including condemnation and relocation assistance.
- 2Research property titles and ownership to determine right-of-way requirements and clear title issues.
- 3Maintain accurate records in the RWMS system, updating timelines and documentation.
- 4Prepare and review legal documents for right-of-way acquisitions, ensuring compliance with 49 CFR Part 24.
- 5Engage property owners to discuss project needs, negotiate terms, and resolve concerns with empathy.
- 6Coordinate with FDOT management and legal counsel to interpret policies and statutes.
- 7Drive marketing efforts for the firm by identifying opportunities and supporting business development.
- 8Support property management tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in right-of-way acquisition or related real estate field, with FDOT experience preferred.
- 2Florida Real Estate License and Notary Public required.
- 3Expertise in 49 CFR Part 24 and the Uniform Relocation Act, applied to FDOT projects.
- 4Ability to read right-of-way maps and interpret FDOT policies and regulations.
- 5Strong negotiation and customer service skills to handle sensitive property owner interactions.
- 6Detail-oriented with research skills to assess property ownership and title documents.
- 7Proficiency in RWMS or comparable land management software.
- 8Team player with ability to work across functions, including legal and engineering teams.
