RF Optimization Engineer, LTE & 5G Networks
Overview
This role owns RF network performance for a major telecom in Detroit, tuning LTE and 5G parameters to hit KPI targets. You will analyze gNB/eNB logs and EMS/OSS data, driving issue resolution with remote teams. This contract focuses on delivering market-level KPI acceptance and detailed RCA reports. You will collaborate directly with Level 3 support engineers on critical network problems.
What You'll Do6
- 1Tune RF parameters to optimize network KPIs across field and drive test data.
- 2Achieve KPI acceptance for trial sites and markets through iterative parameter adjustments.
- 3Generate and analyze daily KPI reports from EMS and OSS platforms.
- 4Inspect UE and gNB/eNB logs to pinpoint performance degradation causes.
- 5Coordinate with remote engineering and Level 3 support teams to resolve network issues promptly.
- 6Deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA) findings to stakeholders and document resolution steps.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in RF optimization for LTE and 5G networks.
- 2Hands-on experience with EMS and OSS platforms for KPI monitoring.
- 3Proficiency in analyzing UE and gNB/eNB protocol logs.
- 4Strong background in parameter tuning and KPI acceptance processes.
- 5Ability to provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for network faults.
- 6Willingness to work onsite in Detroit, Michigan for a contract role.
