What You'll Do7
- 1Research credit balance accounts and determine proper balances using GE Centricity and Excel.
- 2Review contractual and allowable adjustments to identify true credits versus errors.
- 3Prepare refund packets and follow up with payers and patients to ensure resolution.
- 4Reconcile accounts down to the true balance, documenting each step.
- 5Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve discrepancies.
- 6Prioritize accounts under strict deadlines, meeting daily productivity goals.
- 7Collaborate with billing team to escalate unresolved issues promptly.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in medical billing and cash posting, with 3+ years in healthcare collections.
- 2Strong background in payment posting and account reconciliation.
- 3High school diploma or GED required.
- 4Proficiency in Excel and general PC skills.
- 5Ability to work under strict deadlines with a high sense of urgency.
- 6Familiarity with GE Centricity (training provided).
