What You'll Do8

  • 1Submit and manage medical claims for AdvancedMD and EHR/EMR systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • 2Review and resolve claim rejections and denials from insurance payers, reducing first-pass denial rates by 20% within 90 days.
  • 3Post payments and reconcile patient accounts, maintaining Excel ledgers for daily reconciliation.
  • 4Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing questions and payment issues.
  • 5Research unpaid claims and follow up on outstanding balances, prioritizing high-dollar accounts.
  • 6Maintain accurate documentation and account notes in AdvancedMD for audit readiness.
  • 7Identify process improvements in billing workflows and share ideas with the team.
  • 8Collaborate with intake, clinical, and revenue cycle teams to support a seamless patient experience.

Requirements8

  • 12+ years of medical billing experience, including claims submission and denial management.
  • 2Working knowledge of insurance claims, payment posting, and reimbursement workflows.
  • 3Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems and clearinghouses, such as AdvancedMD.
  • 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • 5Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for high-volume billing accuracy.
  • 6Excellent communication and customer service skills for patient and payer interactions.
  • 7Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • 8A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
