Retail Territory Manager, DSD & Sales
Overview
This role owns in-store success for Mondelēz' Direct Store Delivery (DSD) network across the Minneapolis territory. You lead a team of Merchandisers, drive sales targets, and execute retail programs for iconic brands like Oreo and Ritz. This position blends strategic planning with hands-on store execution, offering a company vehicle and a clear path to Field Sales leadership. You'll own the full territory P&L, from shelf placement to unsaleables management, and your store relationships will directly impact revenue. What You'll Do10
- 1Deliver monthly and quarterly sales targets by executing customer plans and using retail selling methodologies in assigned accounts.
- 2Lead a team of full-time and part-time Merchandisers, handling hiring, coaching, and performance development from day one.
- 3Roll out sales priorities and merchandising programs flawlessly across all stores in the first 90 days.
- 4Provide on-site sales consultation to customers, securing incremental opportunities and executing HQ programs.
- 5Tailor data-driven sales strategies to store demographics using Salesforce and Tableau to fuel territory growth.
- 6Build strong partnerships with store personnel to identify and act on shelf and display opportunities.
- 7Deploy merchandisers and order writers strategically to maximize shelf impact and sales volume.
- 8Oversee product ordering, display execution, and unsaleables management with Full-Time Order Writers (FTOWs).
- 9Design and execute a smart store schedule to strengthen relationships and drive results.
- 10Stay compliant with safety and operational guidelines while managing daily store visits.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of sales experience with a strong background in business processes and systems.
- 2High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- 3Valid driver's license issued by your state of residence.
- 4Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- 5Ability to perform physical activities: frequent lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally over 50 lbs., pushing, pulling.
- 6Live within 40 miles of the listed cities: Minneapolis, Forest Lake, Cambridge, Andover, Circle Pines, Blaine, Pine City, North Branch, Saint Croix Falls.
- 7Successful completion of drug test, MVR check, and background check.
- 8Passion for retail and ability to thrive in a fast-changing store environment.
