Overview
As a Women's Clothing Selling Support Associate at Macy's Roosevelt Field, you'll own the customer journey from greeting to checkout, turning fashion into inspiration. You'll actively circulate the sales floor, engaging customers in genuine conversations, sharing loyalty program benefits, and guiding them through a seamless shopping experience. This role goes beyond cashier duties: you'll maintain merchandise standards, support fitting rooms, and handle fulfillment to keep the store polished and shoppable. With a focus on hospitality and sales goals, you'll create lasting customer relationships in a 160-year-old retail icon. Full-time position (30+ hours/week) with weekend availability required.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly conversations to build lasting relationships.
- 2Circulate the sales floor to understand each customer's needs and offer tailored fashion advice.
- 3Share the benefits of Macy's loyalty programs and open new credit accounts to acquire customers.
- 4Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor, tidying fitting rooms, and updating signage and pricing.
- 5Support merchandise moves and assist with fulfillment to ensure a polished, shop-ready environment.
- 6Review daily sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay updated on trends and promotions.
- 7Finish Strong by ensuring customers have everything they need and ending with a sincere thank-you.
- 8Process register transactions and use handheld equipment to support the customer journey.
- 9Collaborate with teammates to deliver individual and store results, achieving daily sales goals.
- 10Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and inviting to make every customer feel welcome.
Requirements8
- 1Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance.
- 2Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
- 3Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- 4Resourceful and eager to adapt to changing priorities; can work independently but thrives in team dynamics.
- 5Comfortable handling electronic devices, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
- 6Physical ability: constant moving, standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs., reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- 7Vision requirements: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- 8Prior retail or sales experience is a plus but not required.
