What You'll Do9
- 1Welcome each customer with warmth, making eye contact and starting personal conversations to build trust and loyalty.
- 2Assess customer needs and recommend women's shoes that match their style, fit, and occasion.
- 3Hit daily sales targets by engaging customers and using smart selling behaviors like suggestive selling and cross-selling.
- 4Recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, restocking shoes and keeping displays organized and inviting.
- 5Update signage and pricing, and support merchandise moves to reflect current promotions and trends.
- 6Share Macy's Loyalty program benefits with customers and open new credit accounts to expand the customer base.
- 7Operate the register and process transactions accurately, handling cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- 8Finish each interaction with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer's name.
- 9Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.
Requirements9
- 1Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular attendance.
- 21+ year retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- 3Strong communication skills to engage with customers, coworkers, and supervisors in English.
- 4Ability to stand for at least 2 consecutive hours and lift up to 25 lbs.
- 5Comfort using electronic devices like handheld scanners, cash registers, and computers.
- 6Enthusiastic about meeting people, learning about them, and sharing product knowledge.
- 7Able to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
- 8Must have close vision, color vision, and depth perception for visual merchandising and reading labels.
- 9Willing to open Macy's credit accounts and promote loyalty benefits to customers.
