Overview
You will own the women's shoe department at Macy's NorthPark Center, driving sales and creating memorable shopping experiences for every customer. You will work with a dedicated team of selling colleagues, support daily operations, and build lasting customer relationships. This role goes beyond standard retail, blending hospitality with selling strategy to meet and exceed daily sales goals.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and engage in friendly conversation to understand their needs and build relationships.
- 2Offer personalized recommendations and connect customers with the right products and services, leveraging product knowledge and current trends.
- 3Meet daily sales goals by driving performance through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors.
- 4Open new credit accounts and share loyalty program benefits to grow the customer base and increase retention.
- 5Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing as needed.
- 6Recover the floor throughout the day and support merchandise moves to ensure a shoppable space.
- 7Finish Strong by sharing loyalty benefits, ensuring customer satisfaction, and ending with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer's name.
- 8Collaborate with team members and support one another to deliver individual and store results.
- 9Stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, and promotions to engage and educate customers.
Requirements10
- 1Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance.
- 21+ years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
- 3Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
- 4Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures.
- 5Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- 6Must be resourceful, eager to learn, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- 7Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- 8Proficiency with electronic devices, including handheld equipment and cash register, and ability to process transactions.
- 9Physical ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs., and perform tasks like stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level.
- 10Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
