What You'll Do11
- 1Initiates and/or assists with appropriate respiratory tests and procedures to deliver appropriate care to patients
- 2Responds to respiratory emergencies and transports mechanically ventilated patients during unit movements
- 3Prepares individualized care plans and recommends therapies to physicians
- 4Schedules patient treatments and consults as part of the patient care team
- 5Manages full scope of respiratory therapy services according to institutional policies
- 6Conducts bedside rounds and applies respiratory care modalities to assigned patients
- 7Adjusts treatment plans based on clinical response and patient progress
- 8Educates patients families and healthcare staff about respiratory therapies
- 9Supervises respiratory therapy students in clinical settings
- 10Analyzes clinical data to determine optimal therapeutic interventions
- 11Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
Requirements10
- 1Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- 2Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3Basic Life Support certification
- 4Data conversion experience
- 5Neonatal Resuscitation Certification
- 6Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
- 70-1 year relevant respiratory care experience
- 8Strong communication abilities
- 9Ability to stand and walk frequently
- 10Physical stamina for lifting and carrying equipment
