What You'll Do7

  • 3Prepares patient care plans and recommends specific therapy to physicians, scheduling treatments as needed.
  • 4Manages all aspects of respiratory therapy per policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • 5Makes bedside rounds and administers respiratory modalities, adjusting treatment plans based on patient response.
  • 6Educates students, physicians, staff, and patients, and clinically supervises respiratory therapy students.
  • 7Documents patient assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record.

Requirements9

  • 1Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 20-1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.
  • 3BLS Certification required before or within 30 days of hire.
  • 4Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC preferred.
  • 5Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) preferred.
  • 6Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License required.
  • 7Ability to assess quickly and provide professional judgment for care plans.
  • 8Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
  • 9Physical stamina to push equipment weighing less than 100 pounds and stand for long periods.
