What You'll Do8
- 1Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population
- 2Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop evaluate and modify individualized treatment plans
- 3Conduct diagnostic testing including lung capacity measurements and blood gas evaluations
- 4Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
- 5Manage ventilator-dependent residents initiate support when necessary
- 6Monitor residents respiratory status and maintain equipment functionality
- 7Educate residents and families on treatments equipment use and medication administration
- 8Document all treatments assessments and progress according to clinical standards
Requirements5
- 1Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- 2Current state licensure
- 3Minimum three years respiratory therapy experience preferred
- 4Tracheostomy care and ventilator management experience in skilled nursing facility LTACH or hospital settings
- 5Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage residents families and clinical teams
