Overview
The Resident Care Assistant leads direct and indirect care for residents families and significant others at the Hospice location. They operate under the direction of the Resident Care Team Leader. This role drives quality assurance initiatives and supports a team environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Document care provided and resident status
- 2Manage personal care hygiene activities ambulation safety nutrition and hydration
- 3Maintain clean and safe environment for residents
- 4Assist in preparing meals and snacks
- 5Coordinate with volunteers
- 6Participate in Quality Assurance projects
- 7Serve as on-call staff when experienced based on background
- 8Perform additional duties assigned by the Resident Care Team Leader or Director of Omega House
Requirements6
- 1High School diploma or equivalent
- 2Successful completion of Nurse Aide program with certification preferred
- 3BLS certification required
- 4Physical stamina to stand walk and move frequently without lifting restrictions
- 5One year experience specific to Persons with AIDS or Hospice
- 6Commitment to addressing social determinants of health through compassionate care
