Overview

You will own moderately complex laboratory activities with a high degree of autonomy, delivering reliable analytical data for R&D and business stakeholders. You will work with engineers and customers to solve technical problems by executing test requests and adapting methods for non-routine needs. Your role supports the effective operation of analytical laboratories through safe practices, equipment maintenance, and accurate data reporting. This position offers direct contribution to continuous improvement and method development in a hands-on environment.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Execute analytical testing using SOPs to characterize materials and products, collaborating with scientists and internal customers to address technical questions.
  • 2Conduct assigned experiments per SOPs or specific instructions, while contributing to new method development and updating existing techniques with project leaders.
  • 3Document and analyze test data with Excel and Word, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and communicate results through standard reporting formats.
  • 4Maintain lab equipment by setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors to minimize downtime.
  • 5Solve technical problems related to processes, equipment, and products through hands-on testing and analysis in R&D assignments.

Requirements5

  • 11-5 years of experience in a technician, testing, or quality environment.
  • 2Hands-on experience in general laboratory tasks including proper chemical handling.
  • 3Capability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.
  • 4A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s degree is a plus.
  • 5Ability to perform experiments following standard operating procedures and troubleshoot lab equipment.
