Lab Technician, Product Testing & Diagnostics
Overview
You will own failure analysis on returned capital equipment components, diagnosing issues with multimeters and electronic testing tools. You join a Product Performance Team of 5 engineers and technicians in Plymouth, MN, supporting quality investigations that shape product improvements. This 4-month contract offers hands-on testing of field-returned hardware and direct visibility into root-cause engineering.
What You'll Do6
- 1Run physical, chemical, and functional tests on capital equipment components returned from the field.
- 2Diagnose product issues using multimeters and electronic testing tools to isolate failures.
- 3Troubleshoot and evaluate computers and electronic components for root cause.
- 4Document test results and findings for quality investigations and performance reports.
- 5Maintain accurate records of procedures and conclusions to support traceability.
- 6Follow lab protocols and safety procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2Familiarity with laboratory tools such as multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
- 3Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 4Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- 5Preferred: 1+ year in a lab or product testing environment.
- 6Preferred: knowledge of electrical or electronic systems.
- 7Preferred: familiarity with quality or failure analysis processes.
