Reprographics Associate (Copy Operator)
Overview
You will own high-volume document production for a corporate client, handling copy requests from intake to finishing. Your day centers on operating production printers and copiers, executing finishing tasks like binding and laminating, and ensuring quality at every step. You'll work alongside a team of production specialists and report to a supervisor who coordinates deadlines and priorities. This contract role stands out for its pace and the need for precision, where your ability to keep equipment running and materials accurate directly impacts client satisfaction.
What You'll Do7
- 1Run black-and-white and color copy jobs on production printers and copiers, selecting correct settings and monitoring queues to meet turnaround times.
- 2Complete finishing tasks including drilling, binding, laminating, folding, and cutting per job specs, using equipment like binders and cutters.
- 3Inspect materials at each stage to verify accuracy, presentation, and overall quality, catching issues before delivery.
- 4Replenish paper and toner supplies to keep printers and copiers running without downtime.
- 5Troubleshoot routine machine errors, resetting or clearing jams, and escalate to service support when needed.
- 6Coordinate with supervisors and clients on deadlines and priorities, adjusting workflow to avoid delays.
- 7Maintain an organized work area, tracking job tickets and finished documents for efficient handoff.
Requirements7
- 11+ year in office services, ideally in legal, banking, or large corporate environments.
- 2Hands-on operation of high-volume copiers, production printers, and finishing equipment.
- 3Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy under deadline pressure.
- 4Basic troubleshooting for copier and printer hardware, knowing when to call for service.
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- 6Capability to stand for most of the workday.
- 7Effective communication with managers, peers, and clients in a deadline-driven setting.
