Registered Nurse (RN) Skilled Nursing
Overview
You will own patient care across a skilled nursing unit, guiding LPNs and CNAs while managing assessments, medications, and treatment plans. You report to the nursing supervisor and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families. The role demands mastery of EHR documentation, IV therapy, and catheterization. 2+ years of RN experience in long-term care makes you stand out. What You'll Do7
- 1Assess patient conditions on admission and daily, documenting findings in EHR and adjusting care plans.
- 2Administer medications and IV therapies, including insertion and monitoring of IV lines.
- 3Perform catheterization and wound care, ensuring sterile technique and patient comfort.
- 4Lead shift handoffs, coordinating with LPNs and CNAs to prioritize tasks.
- 5Educate residents and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- 6Respond to emergencies, initiating CPR and stabilizing patients until physician arrival.
- 7Chart patient progress and outcomes in Epic or similar EHR system.
Requirements7
- 1Current RN license in Ohio, unencumbered.
- 21+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing.
- 3Proven skill in catheterization, IV insertion, and medication administration.
- 4Working knowledge of EHR systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- 5BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS preferred.
- 6Strong communication and multitasking skills in fast-paced care environments.
- 7Physical ability to lift and transfer residents as needed.
