You will own patient care for a 7pm-7am shift in the IMCU at Chilton Medical Center, managing a diverse caseload of injuries, illnesses, and disabilities. What You'll Do8
- 1Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions during the 7pm-7am shift.
- 2Record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical information with accuracy in electronic health records.
- 3Consult with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and changes in condition.
- 4Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
- 5Prescribe assistive medical devices and coordinate related treatments within scope of practice.
- 6Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- 7Document all patient interactions and interventions clearly and promptly to ensure continuity of care.
- 8Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient status, prioritizing interventions.
Requirements6
- 1Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- 2BLS certification required at hire.
- 31+ year of experience in nursing or a relevant clinical area.
- 4Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing; ASN must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- 5Preferred: ACLS certification.
- 6Preferred: Master's degree in nursing or related field.
