What You'll Do11
- 1Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to adult patients varying in acuity
- 2Recognize and respond appropriately to patient changes such as cardiac rhythm or respiratory distress
- 3Work with complex patient care equipment including heart monitors and ventilators
- 4Communicate appropriate information and patient advocacy to surgeons and anesthesiologists
- 5Maintain standards of professional nursing practices in clinical settings
- 6Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety and outcomes
- 7Integrate patient care standards across all clinical activities
- 8Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams to uphold excellence
- 9Assess and interpret age specific and population specific data to determine appropriate treatment
- 10Demonstrate cultural and religious sensitivity when addressing patients and staff
- 11Lead efforts to improve patient outcomes through evidence based practice
Requirements9
- 1NYS RN license and registration required
- 2BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- 3AHA BLS ACLS PALS certification required
- 41+ years acute care experience
- 5Critical care experience preferred
- 6HCAHPS EPIC knowledge preferred
- 7Experience working with diverse patient populations
- 8Strong communication skills and ability to advocate for patients
- 9Commitment to Magnet nursing standards and patient centered care
