Registered Nurse, Geriatric Care & Long Term Care
Overview
RN position overseeing nursing care for residents in a not-for-profit aging services organization. Drive care coordination, evaluation, and documentation in a long term care and rehab setting. Work with a collaborative team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at Keswick's Baltimore campus. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead and coordinate nursing care per care plan and physician orders in an on site long term care environment
- 2Function as shift Charge Nurse as assigned and supervise RNs LPNs and GNAs to ensure timely care delivery
- 3Perform admissions assessments and ongoing resident/patient evaluations according to unit standards
- 4Conduct clinical rounds to ensure patient safety comfort and regulatory compliance
- 5Maintain and update clinical records per facility policies and procedures
- 6Transcribe physicians orders to charts medication records and related documents
- 7Administer medications and treatments following established procedures
- 8Receive handover report and brief oncoming staff during rounds
- 9Complete admission transfer and discharge documentation and verify all steps
Requirements6
- 1Graduation from an accredited RN program and active RN license in Maryland without disciplinary actions
- 2Current BLS certification
- 3Minimum 1 year of prior continual experience with the same long term care facility
- 42 or more years of service preferred
- 5IV insertion skills preferred
- 6One year of recent Medical Surgical experience required for Baker Rehab assignment
