What You'll Do10

  • 1Manage workers' compensation cases from intake to closure, ensuring timely treatment and return-to-work.
  • 2Coordinate medical care with physicians, insurance adjusters, HR, and management for work-related injuries.
  • 3Evaluate employees' medical restrictions and work capabilities to determine fitness for duty.
  • 4Develop individualized case management plans and monitor progress toward return-to-work goals.
  • 5Assist management in creating appropriate light-duty assignments that align with restrictions.
  • 6Coordinate medical accommodations and support the ADA interactive process for employees.
  • 7Maintain accurate medical records, workers' comp documentation, and surveillance logs.
  • 8Provide telephone triage and onsite nursing care, including first aid, assessment, and referrals for workplace injuries.
  • 9Respond to workplace emergencies and arrange medical transportation as needed.
  • 10Partner with Staff RNs to ensure consistent occupational health services across locations.

Requirements8

  • 1ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program with an active, unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
  • 21+ years of related nursing experience with a BSN; 3+ years with an ADN.
  • 3Knowledge of workers' compensation case management and the ADA interactive accommodation process.
  • 4Knowledge of OSHA and occupational health practices in industrial settings.
  • 5Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills for emergency and routine care.
  • 6Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, physicians, HR, and insurance representatives.
  • 7Documentation and organizational skills to maintain confidential medical records.
  • 8Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an onsite industrial environment.
