Overview
Seeking a Registered Nurse to lead patient care for behavioral and mental health patients in a fast-paced environment. You will own direct care in the Emergency Department and drive improvements across practice settings. This role offers unique exposure to pediatric and adolescent care while fostering a people-first culture.
What You'll Do11
- 1Practice direct patient care in assessment and treatment plans for crisis behavioral health patients in the Emergency Department and other settings
- 2Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize patients and coordinate medical treatment
- 3Integrate cultural sensitivity into care delivery while maintaining therapeutic communication
- 4Document care interventions and monitor patient progress according to policy standards
- 5Lead Code Behavioral Emergency Response Team responses and facilitate post-crisis debriefs
- 6Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency
- 7Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all patient interactions
- 8Provide patient and family education tailored to individual learning needs
- 9Ensure equipment functionality and advocate for safe patient environments
- 10Contribute to shift leadership through proactive communication and team collaboration
- 11Complete Marcus Crisis Prevention Program training within 90 days of hire
Requirements10
- 1Current RN license in Georgia or multi-state through Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- 2Completion of Marcus Crisis Prevention Program within 90 days of employment
- 3Basic Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of hire
- 42-3 years of clinical nurse experience with pediatric/adolescent populations
- 5Knowledge of crisis management and de-escalation techniques
- 6Ability to rapidly assess and respond to patient needs in high-acuity settings
- 7Strong verbal and written communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- 8Demonstrated ability to remain composed during stressful situations
- 9Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- 10Experience with emergency department operations and behavioral health protocols
