Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - ABA Therapy
Overview
You will champion 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across home, school, and clinic settings in the Raleigh area. Working under a supervising BCBA, you will implement behavior intervention plans, track client progress with clinical software, and partner with families to drive meaningful outcomes. You will join a close-knit team backed by unmatched clinical support, including monthly drop-in sessions with our BCBA and RBT Program Director. What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver evidence-based 1:1 ABA therapy to children with ASD, using techniques from the BACB task list.
- 2Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs designed by the supervising BCBA.
- 3Collect real-time client data with clinical software like CentralReach or Accupoint during each session.
- 4Collaborate with supervising BCBAs, families, and caregivers to ensure consistent skill generalization across settings.
- 5Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging therapy environment, adjusting strategies in the moment to keep clients motivated.
- 6Drive session logistics by managing schedules, travel, and materials, with mileage reimbursement for client sites.
- 7Communicate progress and challenges to the clinical team, contributing to monthly team meetings and RBT mentorship sessions.
Requirements7
- 1Active RBT certification (or eligibility to obtain within 30 days) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- 31+ years of experience working with children with autism or developmental delays, in home or clinic settings.
- 4Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between client locations in the Raleigh area.
- 5Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with families and clinical staff.
- 6Ability to handle challenging behaviors calmly and follow BCBA-prescribed de-escalation protocols.
- 7Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA and ethical guidelines in all client interactions.
