As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will own the delivery of individualized ABA therapy in home settings, implementing care plans crafted by board-certified behavior analysts. You will reinforce socially acceptable behaviors, replacing challenging actions with functional communication and problem-solving skills. Your work directly improves client outcomes at a scale that matters, with a caseload of 5-10 clients. What You'll Do8
- 1Implement ABA therapy plans across 5-10 home-based sessions per week, directly targeting communication and social goals.
- 2Collect real-time behavioral data using CentralReach and adjust prompting strategies to maintain client progress.
- 3Conduct functional behavior assessments with BCBA supervision during the first month to refine intervention strategies.
- 4Collaborate weekly with BCBAs and caregivers to align on treatment goals and document progress notes in TherapyNotes.
- 5Facilitate generalization of skills by embedding therapy into daily routines, from play to household tasks.
- 6Lead parent training sessions quarterly, demonstrating techniques to increase skill acquisition at home.
- 7Maintain RBT certification compliance including 5% supervised hours and ongoing competency assessments.
- 8Drive engagement in natural environment teaching, using preferred items to motivate and reinforce new responses.
Requirements9
- 1Current RBT certification with active registration in good standing
- 2High school diploma or equivalent, with college coursework in psychology or related field preferred
- 31-2 years of direct ABA therapy experience with pediatric clients in home or clinic settings
- 4Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits
- 5CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- 6Background check and fingerprinting clearance per Florida state regulations
- 7Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physical holds when behavioral interventions require
- 8Familiarity with CentralReach or similar data collection software
- 9Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
