Regional Manager, Project Services - Mechanical Construction
Overview
Lead the Project Services department in our Austin regional office, directing strategy for multiple mechanical and plumbing projects exceeding $50 million. You'll own departmental performance across purchasing, VDC/BIM, scheduling, and subcontracts, reporting directly to the Director of Project Services. Manage a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with executive leadership, and drive safety culture. This role offers a path to shape regional growth with a top-ranked specialty contractor.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build regional strategy for Project Services, aligning with company goals and project execution standards
- 2Lead and mentor teams of Senior PMs, PMs, Project Engineers, and VDC/BIM managers to hit performance targets
- 3Oversee purchasing, procurement, subcontract negotiations, and material buyouts to reduce risk and increase value
- 4Drive project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
- 5Champion company systems and best practices across all Project Services functions, from scheduling to commissioning
- 6Monitor KPIs, financials, and manpower plans to spot risks early and implement fixes
- 7Collaborate with Operations, Construction, Estimating, and Safety to smooth project handoffs
- 8Build client, owner, and subcontractor relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- 9Support business development by contributing technical and operational insight during pursuits
- 10Coordinate with the Director to standardize reporting, technology, and continuous improvement region-wide
Requirements10
- 115+ years in mechanical, industrial, or design-build construction
- 25+ years leading multiple departments or large project teams
- 3Track record of managing complex mechanical projects over $50 million
- 4Active Mechanical or Plumbing state license preferred
- 5Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
- 6Deep knowledge of project lifecycle, procurement, scheduling, contracts, and cost controls
- 7Proficiency in Primavera P6, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, Autodesk Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
- 8Strong negotiation and communication skills with clients, vendors, and executives
- 9Proven ability to mentor and grow high-performing teams
- 10Willingness to travel periodically to jobsites and headquarters
