What You'll Do9
- 1Haul flatbed and open deck freight across regional lanes, securing loads with straps, chains, and tarps to meet safety standards.
- 2Run 2,500-3,000 miles per week on steady routes, delivering on time while managing hours of service.
- 3Earn tarp pay and clean inspection bonuses by properly covering loads and maintaining a spotless safety record.
- 4Use APU and inverter equipment in the truck to rest comfortably and power devices during layovers.
- 5Coordinate with dispatch to plan routes and adjust for weather or traffic, keeping delivery schedules intact.
- 6Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and inspect the vehicle pre- and post-trip to ensure compliance and safety.
- 7Participate in the monthly safe driver bonus program by avoiding incidents and following all regulations.
- 8Communicate with customers at pickup and delivery to confirm load integrity and capture required signatures.
- 9Balance weekly or bi-weekly home time based on route, ensuring predictable scheduling with the operations team.
Requirements9
- 1Valid Class A CDL with 6+ months of OTR flatbed experience or 1+ year of non-flatbed OTR experience.
- 2Ability to lift 50+ pounds and secure cargo using tarps, chains, and straps in all weather conditions.
- 3Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- 4Willingness to be away from home for 5-7 days at a time, returning weekly or bi-weekly.
- 5Familiarity with ELD logging systems and DOT regulations.
- 6Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- 7Strong time management skills to meet strict delivery windows and maximize miles.
