Overview
Lead the after school recreation program at Lighthouse childcare and recreation facility in Long Island City Queens. Oversee program direction and management ensuring alignment with organizational mission.
What You'll Do11
- 1Plan and implement developmentally appropriate outdoor and indoor activities
- 2Maintain detailed records including attendance physicals registration profiles fieldtrips calendars and community links
- 3Develop and enforce safety protocols for participant protection
- 4Enhance participant health through wellness initiatives
- 5Organize field trips and camping experiences
- 6Establish short and long term program goals aligned with organizational objectives
- 7Write grant proposals and secure donations for resident services
- 8Supervise staff members and coordinate daily operations
- 9Communicate with families and build community partnerships
- 10Utilize CARES system for incident reporting
- 11Support ethical standards and provide staff development opportunities
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Two years experience in recreational or educational settings
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- 4Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 6Ability to lift 30 pounds multiple times weekly
