Recovery Technician Detox 2nd Shift, Mental Health & Addiction Support
Overview
Detox recovery role supporting clients through early recovery at EOSIS in Minnesota. You will perform health screenings, gather medical histories, observe clients, and orient them to the program. What You'll Do10
- 1Build health screening procedures for clients per RN guidance
- 2Interview clients to obtain medical history and current health concerns
- 3Observe client health status during detoxification to identify needs
- 4Assist with daily living activities and personal hygiene tasks
- 5Orient clients to their rights and program responsibilities under Minnesota statutes
- 6Follow sanitation and admission protocols for the facility
- 7Attend mandatory in-services and staff development sessions
- 8Assist in onboarding new employees and interns as assigned
- 9Document client notes and progress in the EHR system to DHS standards
- 10Support other duties as assigned by the program leadership
Requirements10
- 1At least 18 years old
- 2High school diploma or GED; some college or technical school preferred
- 3Two years’ experience as a technician or health services assistant in detox or treatment setting preferred
- 4Current first aid certificate
- 5Current CPR certificate
- 6Knowledge of confidentiality laws for alcohol and drug treatment records including 42 CFR part 2
- 7HIPAA knowledge
- 8Experience with EHR/EMR systems and keyboarding skills
- 9Knowledge of Minnesota client rights statutes 148F.165 144.651 253B.03
- 10Substance use free for at least one year prior to employment
