Detox Nurse (LVN/LPT) - Substance Use Disorder
Overview
You will own patient care at a 6-bed detox residential facility, monitoring vitals and medication adherence around the clock. Backed by a close-knit clinical team, you will guide clients through early recovery with compassion. What You'll Do6
- 1Monitor vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, respiration) and document readings in Kipu EMR.
- 2Observe self-administration of medications per provider orders, flagging any adverse reactions.
- 3Update patient charts with allergies, medication changes, and immunization history after each visit.
- 4Conduct patient intake and history reviews, identifying SUD treatment needs.
- 5Educate clients on disease management, treatment plans, and relapse prevention strategies.
- 6Coordinate with clinical staff on treatment adjustments and escalate complications promptly.
Requirements8
- 1California LVN, LPT, or RN license
- 21+ year clinical experience in AOD treatment
- 3Current valid California Driver License with clean record
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 5Proficient with computer-based EMR; Kipu experience preferred
- 6Knowledge of IMS and residential treatment standards
- 7Ability to work on-call 24/7 for emergencies
- 8Passion for helping clients achieve sobriety and life goals
