Overview

The Hybrid Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and CD Tech will support clients in early recovery with lived experience, operate within a structured treatment environment, and collaborate with clinical staff. This role blends peer recovery support with program responsibilities to respond to changing needs and promote recovery capital. You will work Monday through Friday up to 29 hours per week in Minneapolis and surrounding areas.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build one-on-one peer recovery relationships to promote hope and identify actionable next steps
  • 2Design and document treatment coordination plans in collaboration with clinical staff
  • 3Assist clients in navigating treatment services, housing, employment, education, and healthcare
  • 4Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • 5Provide safety checks, de-escalation, and trauma-informed support in a structured facility
  • 6Escort clients to internal appointments and support transition into treatment
  • 7Contribute to team meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services
  • 8Support program cleanliness and organization, including client chores
  • 9Encourage engagement in daily programming and monitor behavioral concerns
  • 10Deliver ethical and professional care aligned with Minnesota Certification Board standards

Requirements10

  • 1Certified or eligible for certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist through the Minnesota Certification Board or equivalent
  • 2Minimum of one year of sustained recovery from substance use disorder with active involvement in a personal recovery program
  • 3High school diploma or GED
  • 4Valid drivers license and proof of active automobile liability insurance
  • 5Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
  • 6Basic computer and documentation skills
  • 7Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 8Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • 9Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care
  • 10Preferred: experience in peer support, substance use treatment, behavioral health, or related fields
