Real Estate Paralegal, Commercial CRE & Closing Support
Overview
Own and manage due diligence through closing on large commercial real estate transactions in a hybrid Chicago role. Work closely with attorneys and clients to draft and revise transactional documents and coordinate closings. Collaborate with title companies, lenders, and other parties to move deals forward. This firm offers exposure to high-value CRE matters with meaningful client interaction and a structured hybrid schedule.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build due diligence checklists and summaries for CRE transactions
- 2Draft and revise title objections, corporate documents, and transactional papers
- 3Review titles, surveys, and related records to ensure accuracy
- 4Coordinate closings, signature collection, and recordings across multiple parties
- 5Prepare closing binders and post-closing documents for file completion
- 6Communicate with clients, title companies, and lenders to maintain deal momentum
- 7Support transactions from initial intake through post-closing follow-up
- 8Manage e-recording processes where applicable
- 9Assist with post-closing filings and organizational tasks
- 10Maintain organized documentation and facilitate smooth collaboration among team members
Requirements7
- 1ABA-approved paralegal certificate required
- 23+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience
- 3Strong title and survey review experience
- 4Experience drafting title objection letters
- 5Prior title company experience highly preferred
- 6Experience with Simplifile or similar e-recording platforms is a plus
- 7Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Salary Insight
$90 - $140k per year
