Overview
Own 1:1 ABA therapy with children in home and community settings under BCBA supervision. What You'll Do6
- 1Build 1:1 ABA therapy sessions for children in home and community settings
- 2Implement individualized treatment plans and BIPs written by the supervising BCBA
- 3Run skill acquisition programs for communication, social skills, daily living, and behavior regulation
- 4Collect accurate session data and complete notes on time
- 5Be a consistent, positive presence in clients' days
- 6Respond to challenging behavior using approved, evidence-based procedures
Requirements7
- 1Active RBT certification through the BACB, or completed 40-hour RBT training and ready to sit for the exam
- 2Hands-on experience providing ABA therapy to children with autism (direct 1:1 experience)
- 3Weekday afternoon availability
- 4Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license — sessions in client homes across Durham
- 5High school diploma or equivalent
- 6Ability to complete background clearances for working with children
- 7Physically able to sit on the floor, kneel, move quickly, and respond safely to challenging behavior
