What You'll Do11
- 1Develop detailed design drawings for radon mitigation systems including mechanical components and piping layouts
- 2Draft schematic orthographic and isometric views to illustrate airflow paths
- 3Revise designs to address site-specific conditions and improve system performance
- 4Interpret site surveys and environmental data to inform system design
- 5Collaborate with field technicians and project managers to ensure practical compliance
- 6Participate in preliminary report development and client meetings
- 7Prepare technical illustrations and documentation for installation manuals
- 8Generate bills of materials for procurement and project planning
- 9Ensure designs meet radon mitigation standards and local building codes
- 10Attend client meetings to review schematics and answer design questions
- 11Maintain organization and meet deadlines across multiple projects
Requirements6
- 1Associate degree in drafting mechanical design or related field preferred
- 2Experience in HVAC plumbing or environmental systems design is highly desirable
- 3Proficiency in AutoCAD required with BIM software like Revit a plus
- 4Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- 5Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- 6Home office based with occasional site visits and travel for assessments
