Graphic Designer, Wayfinding & Environmental
Overview
Design wayfinding systems and environmental graphics for high-profile architecture projects across the U.S. You will own the visual direction from concept to fabrication, collaborating with architects and planners in a Boston studio. Work with Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD on sustainable, people-focused environments. This role offers long-term temp-to-hire potential and hybrid flexibility.
What You'll Do7
- 1Develop wayfinding strategies and environmental graphic designs for large-scale projects.
- 2Create detailed signage layouts, maps, and visual identity systems using Illustrator and InDesign.
- 3Coordinate with architects and project teams to integrate graphics into built environments.
- 4Produce fabrication-ready drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
- 5Manage multiple project timelines and deliverables from concept to installation.
- 6Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- 7Incorporate sustainable materials and universal design principles into all solutions.
Requirements6
- 12+ years of experience in environmental graphic design or wayfinding.
- 2Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- 3Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for construction documentation.
- 4Strong portfolio showing wayfinding and signage design for built environments.
- 5Ability to collaborate on-site in Boston 4-5 days per week.
- 6Knowledge of fabrication methods and material specifications.
Salary Insight
$62 - $75k per year
