Radio Frequency Engineer III - Techximius
Overview
Tech(x) seeks a subject matter expert to lead advanced waveform analysis and transmission security. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in RF propagation and develop secure communication solutions for DoW missions. This role focuses on scaling cutting edge RF technologies while mentoring junior engineers and representing technical interests across multiple domains.
What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as SME for advanced waveform analysis and transmission security techniques
- 2Utilize MATLAB Python SignalHound and other RF analysis tools to capture and process RF signals
- 3Design and prototype end-to-end RF systems using SDRs and specialized test equipment
- 4Develop comprehensive test plans for tactical radio systems including High Assurance and SBU-E communications
- 5Conduct interoperability security and EMC assessments in contested EW environments
- 6Support integration of emerging 5G technologies within tactical military communications architectures
- 7Develop waveform obfuscation methods to enhance tactical communications security
- 8Collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to deliver advanced RF capabilities
- 9Validate technical inputs and establish analytical methodologies for quality outputs
- 10Represent Army and DoW interests in technical working groups and engineering committees
- 11Present complex technical findings to both technical and executive audiences
Requirements12
- 1Demonstrated expertise in RF engineering supporting DoW or DoD communications systems
- 2Knowledge of 4G/5G cellular technologies and their tactical applications
- 3Experience with AN/PRC-117G RT-1523 AN/PRC-158 AN/PRC-163 AN/PRC-160 and JBC-P systems
- 4Conduct EMC analyses for military spectrum-dependent systems
- 5Proficiency with MATLAB Python or similar programming languages for RF modeling
- 6Familiarity with Silvus Technologies Persistent Systems L3Harris Thales Trellisware
- 7Understanding of pLEO communications including Starshield and SDA architectures
- 8In-depth knowledge of waveform development and RF protocols
- 9Experience with COMSEC principles and secure tactical communications
- 10Familiarity with STK Visualyse Professional Visualyse Builder EDX SignalPro tools
- 1125U military training with TS/SCI clearance and DoW secret level clearance
- 12Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7+ years RF engineering experience
