Senior Signals Software Engineer - RF & C++
Overview
You will own the design and development of advanced signal processing capabilities for USG missions, delivering high-impact RF solutions in a Leidos company. You'll work with C++, Java, and Linux, applying Fourier transforms, filtering, and digital modulation to real-world challenges. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers on cutting-edge technology, from software-defined radio to cloud deployment with Kubernetes and AWS. What You'll Do8
- 1Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications.
- 2Design, develop, and enhance software to add new features or improve existing functionality using C++ and Java.
- 3Debug and resolve defects in software systems, applying signal processing techniques and digital modulation methods.
- 4Integrate software into new or modified systems, ensuring seamless operation in Linux environments.
- 5Lead or participate in the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
- 6Write and review software and system documentation, recommending improvements to processes and standards.
- 7Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to design software solutions and predict outcomes.
- 8Use Fourier transforms, filtering, and error control coding to solve complex problems in RF systems.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 12+ years of experience, or 4+ years of additional SSWE experience as a substitute.
- 27+ years as a Senior Software Engineer on projects focused on Radio Frequency (RF).
- 3Experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, and error control coding.
- 4Proficiency in signals analysis tools like WVT and DVT.
- 5Expertise in digital signal processing including adaptive beamforming, filtering, and demodulation.
- 6Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
- 7Preferred: Experience with software-defined radio architectures (e.g., SCA, REDHAWK, GNU).
- 8Preferred: Experience with Python, Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffer, and MATLAB or SIMULINK.
- 9Preferred: Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment (e.g., AWS).
- 10Preferred: Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
