You will own basic vehicle maintenance in a high-volume Quick Lane shop at Kendall Ford in Portland, OR. This entry-level role starts at $18-$20/hour, with no prior experience needed. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform basic maintenance on service vehicles, including inspecting, replenishing, draining, and filling fluids and lubricants.
- 2Balance and rotate tires to manufacturer specifications.
- 3Conduct vehicle inspections and complete basic brake repairs.
- 4Document all work per Ford and Kendall standards.
- 5Operate a wide variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions, to perform tests and drives.
- 6Use mechanic's hand and power tools safely and effectively, handling significant vibration and force.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety protocols.
- 8Communicate with the Shop Manager and team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements6
- 1Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including both automatic and manual transmissions.
- 2Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- 3No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
- 4Comfortable standing and walking for entire work shift.
- 5Ability to frequently push, pull, crouch, squat, reach, and kneel to access vehicle parts.
- 6Ability to lift, push, and pull weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally.
