Quality Inspector, CMM Metrology in Semiconductors
Overview
The Quality Inspector owns precision dimensional verification for in process and finished semiconductor components at a Wood Village shop. Bold Zeiss Calypso and CMM capabilities enable accurate measurements and rapid feedback to production teams. You will work with a small, focused team to uphold blueprints and GD&T, identify nonconformances, and drive process improvements. This role stands out for hands on CMM programming in a high precision metal fabrication environment and close collaboration with machinists and engineers.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build CMM programs and run parts on the CMM table to verify features meet tolerances using Zeiss Calypso
- 2Perform in process dimensional inspections to ensure specifications are met throughout fabrication with CMM data
- 3Conduct final dimensional inspections on finished goods to confirm compliance with product specs and customer requirements
- 4Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine required measurements and inspection criteria
- 5Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) to verify part dimensions and record results
- 6Program and operate CMM equipment to create, modify, and run inspection routines
- 7Document inspection results accurately and communicate nonconformances to appropriate personnel
- 8Aid fabrication by providing feedback on quality issues and assisting with process adjustments
- 9Support continuous improvement of inspection methods to enhance accuracy and repeatability
- 10Maintain inspection equipment and follow calibration procedures for reliable results
Requirements10
- 1Previous experience taking dimensional measurements in a production or manufacturing environment
- 2Experience in QA or QC with responsibility for dimensional inspection
- 3Hands on experience setting up and running CMM equipment for precision part inspection
- 4CMM programming experience with strong proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software
- 5Experience operating Zeiss CMMs and troubleshooting inspection programs
- 6Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T principles
- 7Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and recordkeeping
- 8Ability to identify and communicate quality issues and collaborate with fabrication personnel
- 9Experience inspecting precision parts for high-precision manufacturing environments
- 10Familiarity with in-process and finished goods inspection workflows
