CMM Inspector, Precision Manufacturing & CMM Programming
Overview
CMM Inspector will own first article and in process inspections at scale in a brand-new, precision manufacturing facility. You will interpret GD&T, program Zeiss CMMs, and ensure dimensional conformance for machined parts. You’ll work with quality and manufacturing teams to drive traceability and continuous improvement. This role offers onsite, full-time work in Tualatin with opportunities to deepen CMM expertise.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute first article inspections on precision parts using CMM equipment including Zeiss systems
- 2Design and perform in-process inspections and dimensional analyses to verify conformance
- 3Report discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor with clear, actionable data
- 4Operate and program CMM equipment to achieve accurate, repeatable measurements
- 5Audit and document inspection results and ensure proper non-conformance disposition and tagging
- 6Assist manufacturing personnel with in-process inspections and problem-solving for quality issues
- 7Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality trends and suggesting corrective actions
- 8Follow GD&T methods to interpret drawings, determining required materials, finishes, tolerances, and dimensions
- 9Perform final inspections to release finished products meeting all quality requirements
- 10Maintain accurate inspection records and support traceability throughout the production process
Requirements10
- 1Strong background in quality inspection within a manufacturing or machining environment
- 2Hands-on experience in QC practices and procedures
- 3Proficiency in interpreting and applying GD&T
- 4Experience operating and programming CMM systems, specifically Zeiss
- 5Ability to perform first article inspections on precision machined parts
- 6Competence in dimensional calculations and using inspection data to verify conformance
- 7Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- 8Attention to detail and accuracy in recording inspection results and discrepancies
- 9Strong problem-solving skills related to dimensional and quality issues
- 10Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with quality and manufacturing teams
