Quality Control Technician, HVAC Manufacturing
Overview
You will own quality control testing for custom commercial cooling units at an HVAC manufacturer near Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix. You will calibrate components, read blueprints, and document results against customer specifications. You will collaborate with production to resolve quality issues and ensure units ship ready for installation. This role requires 3+ years of QC experience, with HVAC knowledge preferred. You will work onsite, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and travel.
What You'll Do6
- 1Perform quality control testing on custom commercial cooling units against customer specifications.
- 2Calibrate and measure components using tape measures, gauges, meters, and calipers.
- 3Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- 4Document and report inspection results in accordance with company and industry standards.
- 5Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices.
- 6Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 23+ years of quality control experience.
- 3HVAC experience preferred.
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 5Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- 6Keen attention to detail.
- 7Basic computer skills (MS Excel and MS Word) and math skills for calibration and measurement.
- 8Blueprint reading capability.
- 9Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask while working well with a team.
- 10Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods and able to work onsite in Phoenix, Monday through Friday.
Salary Insight
$42 - $46k per year
