Overview

Qualified Mental Health Associates deliver hope and opportunity for residents in residential treatment programs. They provide clinical services manage documentation and collaborate with Direct Care Staff to meet daily needs. Schedule Wednesday Thursday 8am6:30pm with on call opportunities.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide clinical services such as skills training symptom management and community integration aligned with individual treatment plans.
  • 2Develop and implement group curriculums under supervision.
  • 3Facilitate interventions that improve functioning and coping with distressing symptoms.
  • 4Use active listening empathy and trauma informed care principles.
  • 5Demonstrate de escalation and crisis response for aggressive behaviors and suicidal ideation.
  • 6Transport clients to medical appointments and community activities.
  • 7Complete electronic health records promptly.
  • 8Participate in monthly clinical supervision with assigned QMHAs.
  • 9Prepare meals and clean up.
  • 10Maintain sanitation and organize living spaces.
  • 11Teach daily living skills and encourage program engagement.

Requirements5

  • 1Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field or three years mental health experience.
  • 2Certification through MHACBO as a QMHA.
  • 3Experience in residential treatment or outpatient mental health preferred.
  • 4Proficiency with electronic health records and Google Workspace.
  • 5Valid driver’s license and pass DHS criminal background check.
