Community Living Support Specialist - QMHP
Overview
The Child & Family Guidance Center seeks a qualified Mental Health Professional to serve as a Yes Waiver Community Living Support Specialist. This role delivers trauma informed care focusing on independent living skills anger management socialization relationship building coping skills family parent skills and positive communication through curriculum based training and evidence based practices.
What You'll Do9
- 1Provide direct services to children and adolescents using strong time management and organizational abilities
- 2Deliver psychiatric rehabilitative services individually or in groups following Texas Administrative Code guidelines
- 3Conduct timely thorough documentation as required by case management standards
- 4Implement trauma informed care practices across diverse settings
- 5Collaborate with staff and participants to coordinate services and solve problems
- 6Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients
- 7Drive community based interventions while supporting school and home environments
- 8Assess individual needs and develop personalized service plans
- 9Foster teamwork and cooperation within multidisciplinary groups
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in psychology social work or related field
- 2Valid driver license and vehicle insurance
- 32 years relevant experience or mental health training preferred
- 4Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed
- 55+ years experience building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 6Trauma informed care expertise
- 7Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services certification
- 8Strong written communication skills for professional interactions
- 9Physical stamina to sit stand walk and lift up to 25 lbs
- 10Valid Texas driver's license and insurance
- 11Experience with mental health treatment and substance abuse programs
