Proposal Specialist, Engineering & RFP Management
Overview
You will own the end-to-end proposal process at ANS, a top-ranked consulting engineering firm. You will write, edit, and format responses for RFP/RFQ submissions, working directly with engineers and leadership. You will manage multiple deadlines and maintain a library of reusable content. What You'll Do7
- 1Write and edit technical and non-technical proposal content, ensuring compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
- 2Maintain and update proposal templates, project descriptions, and resumes in Word, Excel, and InDesign.
- 3Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales leaders to gather technical input and tailor each proposal.
- 4Coordinate 3-5 simultaneous proposals, tracking deadlines and deliverables to hit strict submission dates.
- 5Review every submission for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
- 6Research clients, competitors, and industry trends to sharpen proposal messaging and win strategies.
- 7Improve the proposal workflow by automating repetitive tasks and organizing shared resources.
Requirements6
- 13+ years writing proposals for engineering, construction, or professional services.
- 2Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 3Strong command of grammar, editing, and proofreading with meticulous attention to detail.
- 4Familiarity with government and private-sector RFP/RFQ processes.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign (preferred).
- 6Proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting without dropping quality.
Salary Insight
$65 - $75k per year
