Project Manager - Infrastructure Services
Overview
KDG seeks a skilled Project Manager to lead complex public infrastructure projects in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end project delivery from concept through close-out while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. This role requires strategic oversight of multiple concurrent initiatives ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.
What You'll Do17
- 1Manage capital improvement projects through planning design procurement construction commissioning and close-out
- 2Serve as primary point of contact between clients consultants contractors and regulatory agencies
- 3Develop and manage project scopes budgets schedules and execution plans
- 4Coordinate project planning development activities from initiation through completion
- 5Oversee preparation review and approval of design documents construction drawings specifications and bid packages
- 6Monitor progress to ensure compliance with scope schedule budget and quality standards
- 7Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for cost schedule and delivery impacts
- 8Review schedules and track milestone completion during design and construction phases
- 9Coordinate environmental reviews permitting activities utility coordination and CEQA NEPA compliance
- 10Facilitate meetings prepare documentation and communicate status to clients and leadership
- 11Review RFIs submittals change orders and payment applications while coordinating with design teams
- 12Negotiate and administer change orders maintaining budget controls and contract compliance
- 13Monitor construction activities to ensure contractor performance quality safety and contract adherence
- 14Establish expectations and maintain communication across project teams stakeholders and consultants
- 15Prepare reports presentations and documentation for leadership and client review
- 16Support coordination among project teams consultants contractors and stakeholders for successful delivery
- 17Perform additional assignments as needed to support program objectives
Requirements12
- 1Minimum five years progressive project management experience managing municipal infrastructure public agency or facility improvement projects
- 2Minimum five years concurrent construction management or field construction experience
- 3Licensed Professional Engineer Registered Architect or Certified Construction Manager
- 4Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Architecture or related field
- 5Proven experience managing projects through planning design environmental review permitting construction and close-out
- 6Ability to independently manage all phases of multiple concurrent projects
- 7Experience developing and managing project scopes budgets schedules and project controls
- 8Demonstrated experience reviewing and coordinating construction documents technical specifications and consultant deliverables
- 9Strong facilitation skills for project meetings and stakeholder coordination
- 10Knowledge of public agency construction practices contract administration and delivery methods
- 11Understanding of CEQA NEPA environmental review processes
- 12Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
